Surf and Fish report, Second Week in October
Welcome back everyone to the the area,Painting and Palapas are being rushed to completion
Its seems its dry season again, out of the woods sort to speak with the rains, This last week everyone is starting to show up.
The fishing has been great, Marlin, Dorado, dragging topwaters through trash lines and bait balls.
Today a strip marlin was brought in by Martin, good friend who lives by the Latitude 21 Restaurant and Bar .
Fishermen have been catching lots of nice dorado. The local fishermen are everywhere off shore with their long lines of 500 hooks each. Lots of long lines being strewn at 15 to 25 miles. Price of Per kilo is around 25 pesos, cheap lets eat fish all the time.
Winds have been offshore in the morning turning around to the southeast mid day. Out 35miles until the islands the winds switch to the north east...weird I know, I was out there and the wind did a complete 180.
On another note, the surf, epic portions last week and good size at stand out breaks, some swell on the horizon for next week.
Folks the rivers are cleaning up and half full and cool to the touch.
Excellent weather for the beach, hiking for adventure. If you just arrived make it a point to come by latitude 21 we are painting and replacing palapa roofs. Ask away, until then stay safe and see you soon!
