Latitude 21 surf report
Sept. 20th

Hello everyone,
Surf this past weekend was exceptional in all SW facing beaches.
With our recent deluge of rain, all rivers are pushing silt and debris out into the ocean.
We have a tropical storm in Baja going north and a disturbed weather area down south of Puerto Escondido.

Check out this site, Hurricane Center and save it for a quick glance later.  You can also look in the left hand margin and click on satellite view and scroll down to east pacific sat. then click on the last line which will say, vapor and click on flash or try all under east pacific

The fishing is GOOD for dorado, holding under trash lines 5, 10 and 22 miles out.
Dorado are running 10 to 30 pounds...yahoo
Tuna are out about 50miles due west I saw them with my own eyes, under big schools of bait.
It is true, all fishermen are liars, except you and me but, I am starting to wonder about you.
Yes i was out that far and might i add the waves were excellent i broke a surfboard in half.
That was a bummer.

Fishing is looking better from my point of view i hope it will be good for you
Should be plenty of fish still out there for the picking when November swings around.
Surf conditions are good but not much in the way of waves.

San Pancho bridge is still out, only a foot bridge available but i have it under good authority that the surf this last weekend was some of the best its been in years,  Waves breaking in the range of 8 to 10 foot barrels. The river mouth apparently has drastically changed because of all the silt and sand washing out into the mouth hence, making it a nice little point break.

Chacala was holding good also for the last swell and no
people to speak of in the water.

Also, If you would like to see where swells are coming and going to, a good site is www.wetsand.com its free.  Let the site load then put your cursor on Mexico in the world map, click let it load. then, go to our area which is a little north of Puerto Vallarta. After you do that you will notice it has a six day forecast for swell, period, wind
click any of those to see the prognostic 12, 24, 48, etc, etc. You can save this page under favorites too. Just a thought,
for you guys that like to know what is up in the ocean near shore and offshore.

We will continue to strive and keep the report going with a little more consistency  and more on fishing.
stay safe,
On the Beach,
Latitude 21
