Relaxing on Jaltemba Bay

Just a glance at the rough life of Bob and Vicky. The gardener climbs a coconut tree, cuts off the end and serves Bob and Vicky. Bob, who is in the hammock, manages (with a maximum of exertion) to raise himself so that he can taste the sweet cool coconut juice.

The juice is cool and sweet. After, the coconut can be split in half and the delicious meat can be spooned out. Often we add a tot of rum, or if the day was really rough, we have cocos locos, in which case something more substantial is added.

An uninvited guest attempts to enter during the festivities. This is one of a pair of Iguanas that Vicky has been protecting. They live in the trees above our house. They are good to eat and we have to keep the locals from putting them on their menu. Believe it or not, Vicky picked this one up, even though it was trying to bite, and carried it back to the jungle. Bob would have helped, however administrative duties required him to be elsewhere.
